이진원 교수 연구실(생화학공학 연구실)은 서강대 화학공학과 소속으로, 생화학공학과 대사공학을 연구한다. 메탄·일산화탄소 등 C1 가스를 미생물 생촉매와 화학 촉매를 활용해 유용한 화학물질로 전환하는 기술을 개발하며, 촉매 전환 효율을 극대화하는 공정 개발 연구를 수행한다.
