KAIST 수리과학과 곽시종 교수의 연구실은 대수기하학(Algebraic Geometry)과 가환대수(Commutative Algebra)를 연구한다. 사영다양체의 syzygy, 차수 복잡도(degree complexity), Castelnuovo-Mumford 정칙성 등 사영다양체와 coherent sheaf의 정칙성 문제에 초점을 둔다.
