RNA 유전체학 연구실(RNA Genomics Laboratory)을 이끈다. mRNA 안정성과 단백질 합성, 유전자 발현 조절을 연구하며, 진핵세포에서 원형 RNA(circular RNA)로부터의 단백질 합성 기전을 규명해 mRNA 백신 기술에 응용하고 있다.
