분자종양유전학 연구실(Laboratory of Molecular Oncogenetics)을 이끈다. Hippo 신호전달 경로와 핵심 인자 YAP/TAZ를 중심으로 세포 분열·분화, 성체줄기세포, 간질환 및 암 발생 기전을 연구하며 KAIST 줄기세포센터장을 맡고 있다.
