이동환(Donghwan Lee) 교수는 KAIST 전기및전자공학부 소속으로 강화학습 연구실(Reinforced Decision Intelligence)을 이끈다. 강화학습·기계학습·제어 이론과 이들의 상호작용에 관한 이론과 응용을 연구한다. 로봇·자율주행 응용, AI 기반 데이터 사이언스, 대규모 언어모델 등으로 영역을 확장하고 있다. 퍼듀대에서 2017년 박사 학위를 받았다.
