오창명 교수 연구실(노화 및 대사질환 연구실)은 GIST 의생명공학과 소속으로, 노화·대사증후군·당뇨병의 원인 기전을 이해하고 새로운 치료법을 개발한다. 선충·세포주·마우스 모델 및 인체 조직을 이용해 비만·당뇨 및 노화 표현형을 분석하고 치료 타겟을 발굴한다.
