최장현 교수 연구실(당뇨 및 대사질환 연구실)은 UNIST 생명과학과 소속으로, 지방조직 생물학과 당뇨·대사질환 병태생리를 연결하는 분자 경로를 연구한다. 지방조직 내 당뇨·대사질환의 생화학·분자생물학적 기전을 규명해 항비만·항당뇨 치료 표적 발굴에 기여하며, PPARγ와 유전자 조절을 중점적으로 다룬다.
