김필원 교수 연구실은 UNIST 수리과학과 소속으로, 비선형 집단 동역학과 사회현상의 수리 모델링을 연구한다. 게임이론으로 소외·배제 형성을 설명하고, 폭발적 동기화와 스파이크 타이밍 가소성 기반 부호화 등 뉴로모픽 컴퓨팅, 저수지 컴퓨팅, 임계 전이 예측 등 과학 계산을 다룬다.
