기형선 교수 연구실(레이저가공 및 인공지능 응용 연구실, Laser Processing and Artificial Intelligence Lab)은 UNIST 기계공학과 소속으로, 레이저 가공 기술과 인공지능 응용을 연구한다. 레이저 열처리·용접·클래딩 등 매크로 가공과 레이저 초정밀 가공, 이중빔 펄스 레이저 증착을 다루며, 최근에는 딥러닝을 레이저 소재 가공에 접목하는 연구에 집중한다.
