프로그래밍 시스템 연구실(Programming Systems Lab)을 이끌며 인공지능과 소프트웨어 공학을 융합한 차세대 프로그램 분석·합성·변환 및 보안 기술을 연구한다. 소프트웨어의 심각한 오류를 자동으로 검출하고 수정하는 기술, 용도에 맞게 프로그램을 자동 변형·생성하는 기술을 다룬다. 프로그래밍 언어 및 분석 이론과 인공지능 기법을 함께 탐구·설계한다.
