당뇨병, 비만, 비알코올성 지방간질환(NAFLD)을 연구하는 대사질환 연구실을 이끕니다. 맞춤형 생쥐 모델로 베타세포의 성숙·증식 조절 기전과 베타세포 부전을 연구하고, 세로토닌이 말초 조직의 에너지 대사를 조절하는 방식을 탐구합니다. 최근에는 전사체·대사체를 결합한 멀티오믹스로 지방간과 비만 치료법 개발을 모색합니다.
