조화해석학을 전공하며, 특히 유한체(finite field) 위에서의 푸리에 제한·확장(restriction/extension) 정리를 연구한다. 포물면(paraboloid)과 원뿔(cone)에 대한 유한체 제한 추정과 그 입사기하학(incidence geometry)으로의 응용에 관한 결과를 발표해 왔다.
