원생생물다양성실험실은 해양 및 담수에 서식하는 원생생물(특히 광합성 미세조류)을 채집·배양하여 다양성과 계통분류를 연구합니다. 전자현미경(SEM, TEM)을 통한 미세구조 분석과 핵 유전체 분석을 통합해 원생생물의 진화 과정과 세포소기관의 기원을 규명합니다.
