강창종 교수는 응집물질물리 이론 및 전산물리를 연구한다. 중페르미온, 콘도/혼합원자가, 모트, 훈트 물질 등 대표적인 강상관 물질에서 전자 상관관계가 전자구조에 미치는 영향을 전산 시뮬레이션으로 규명한다. 온도와 전하 도핑에 따른 전자 스펙트럼 가중치의 진화를 분석해 상관 물질의 특성을 구별하는 연구를 수행한다.
