Metal Forming CAE 연구실을 이끌며 소성가공 시뮬레이션 기술을 연구한다. 단조, 판단조 및 판재성형, 압출/인발, 압연 등 다양한 금속 성형 공정의 설계와 최적화를 다루며, 금형 설계 및 구조 최적화도 연구 주제로 삼는다. 한국소성가공학회 논문상을 수상한 바 있다.
