문재균(Jaekyun Moon) 교수가 이끄는 KAIST 연구실(Distributed & Robust Machine Learning Lab, comstolab→moonlab)은 통신·데이터 스토리지·머신러닝을 아우르는 코딩 및 학습 알고리즘을 연구한다. 분산/연합 학습, 강건한 AI, 자원·하드웨어 제약 환경을 위한 효율적 AI 시스템이 핵심 주제이며, 분산·탈중앙 머신러닝과 데이터 스토리지/관리를 위한 코딩 기법을 설계한다. 문재균 교수는 전기및전자공학부(주소속)와 전산학부·AI대학원에 겸임한다.
