KAIST 응용인공지능 연구실(Applied Artificial Intelligence Lab)은 문일철 교수가 이끄는 연구실로, 산업및시스템공학과 소속이며 데이터사이언스대학원에 겸직되어 있다. 복잡한 사회·경제 시스템을 이해·설계·관리하는 방법을 연구하며, 최근에는 확산 모델(diffusion model), 대형 언어모델 정렬(LLM alignment), 데이터셋 증류(dataset distillation), 다중 에이전트 강화학습 등을 주제로 한다.
