홍창섭 교수 연구실은 고려대 화학과 소속으로, 고체무기화학을 기반으로 금속-유기 골격체(MOF)와 다공성 유기 프레임워크를 연구한다. 기체 흡착·분리, CO2 포집 및 활용 반응, 다공성 고분자 기능화를 연구하며, 발전소 배가스의 수증기·산성가스에도 강한 니켈 기반 금속-유기 복합체를 개발했다.
