김준곤 교수의 휴 김 연구실은 고려대 화학과 소속으로, 첨단 질량분석 및 기기분석화학을 연구한다. 이온 이동도 분석, 2D-IR, 마이크로플루이딕스 등을 융합해 시료를 정밀 분석하며, 알츠하이머·파킨슨병과 관련된 아밀로이드 단백질의 비정상 응집 기작을 분자 수준에서 규명한다. 김준곤 교수는 2017년 미국질량분석학회 Emerging Investigators에 아시아에서 유일하게 선정되었다.
