조민행 교수는 고려대 화학과 교수이자 IBS 분자 분광학 및 동력학 연구단 단장으로, 다차원 분광학 분야를 개척한 물리화학자이다. 2차원 적외선 분광학(2D-IR) 장치를 구축해 응축상의 수소결합 동력학과 단백질 구조 변화를 측정했으며, 펨토초 단위로 생체분자의 구조변화를 측정하는 초고속 분광법을 개발했다.
