식물계통분류학실험실은 현화식물의 계통분류학적 위치와 종 다양성을 연구하며, 자생식물의 다배체 현상과 외부·미세형태학적 분류 기준을 규명합니다. FISH·GISH 등 분자세포유전학 기법으로 염색체 진화와 잡종화, B-염색체 진화를 분석하고 자생식물의 생식체계 진화를 연구합니다.
