방사광 실험 재료 연구실(MSEL)을 이끄는 응용물리 실험 분야 교수로, 다양한 응집물질 연구를 위한 방사광(X선 분광) 실험에 특화되어 있다. X선 분광 기법으로 물질의 원자·전자 구조를 분석하고 X선 특성 분석에 대한 자문을 제공한다.
