박경문 교수 연구실(생물공정공학)은 홍익대 생명과학과(바이오화학공학) 소속으로, 미생물 전세포 생물전환(whole-cell bioconversion)을 이용한 유용 화학물질 생산을 연구한다. 폴리하이드록시알카노에이트(PHA) 기반 생분해성 바이오플라스틱, 글루타르산·5-아미노펜탄올 등 부가가치 화합물의 미생물 생산 공정과 배지·공정 최적화를 다룬다.
