최용주 교수 연구실(대기자원연구실2)은 한국외대 환경학과 소속으로, 대기오염물질을 모니터링하고 배출원을 추적하며 대기질 진단을 위한 모니터링 기술을 고도화하는 연구를 수행한다. 지상 측정과 위성 원격탐사를 함께 활용해 대기질을 분석한다.
