장형수 교수 연구실(시스템 모델링 및 최적화 연구실)은 서강대 컴퓨터공학과 소속으로, 시스템 모델링 및 최적화를 연구한다. 시스템의 수학적 모델링을 통한 최적화 문제 해결, 컴퓨터가 스스로 환경을 파악하고 지식을 학습해 해법을 도출하는 지능형 최적화, 생명체의 사회적·생물학적 특성을 모델링한 계산 지능 등을 연구한다.
