당정중 교수 연구실(FLASH Lab)은 KENTECH 에너지공학부(Environmental and Climate Technology) 소속으로, 핵융합 플라즈마 가열·전류구동 장치와 음이온 중성입자빔(NBI) 소스 개발을 연구한다. 핵융합공학과 플라즈마 가열·전류구동을 다루며, 교수는 서울대 원자핵공학 박사로 한국원자력연구원 가속기개발운영부장을 역임했다.
