서울대 컴퓨터공학부 교수로 언어 및 데이터지능 연구실(Language and Data Intelligence Lab)을 이끈다. 자연어 이해, 지식그래프, 데이터 기반 지능, 정보검색·검색엔진을 연구한다. 최근에는 검색증강생성(RAG), 코드 생성, 다국어 처리 등 산업 규모 데이터를 활용해 NLP 모델의 정확도와 강건성을 높이는 연구에 집중한다.
