서울대학교 컴퓨터공학부 소프트웨어 플랫폼 연구실(Software Platform Lab, SPL)은 머신러닝 시스템과 알고리즘, 데이터 처리 시스템을 중심으로 연구한다. 대규모 빅데이터 분석, 데이터센터 인프라 및 클라우드 컴퓨팅, 운영체제 등 AI 시스템 전반을 다룬다. 시스템·데이터베이스·인공지능 분야 최우수 학회에 다수의 논문을 발표해 왔다.
