정애리 교수 연구실은 연세대 천문우주학과 소속으로, 은하의 환경이 은하 진화에 미치는 영향과 은하간 성간물질을 관측적으로 연구한다. ALMA 등 전파 관측 데이터를 활용해 성간 가스의 분자 상태와 별 형성 활동의 관계를 분석하며, 연세대 은하진화연구센터(CGER)의 일원으로 활동한다.
