이수형 교수 연구실은 연세대 물리학과 소속으로, 양자색역학(QCD)의 구속 문제와 강입자 질량 생성 문제를 이론적으로 연구한다. 구속이 사라지는 쿼크-글루온 플라즈마의 물성, 핵물질에서의 대칭성 회복 현상과 검증 방법, 일반 핵자나 메존보다 많은 쿼크로 구성된 이색 강입자(exotic hadron)의 존재와 검출 방법을 다룬다.
