김재훈 교수 연구실(광학물성연구실, SSSL)은 연세대 물리학과 소속으로, 테라헤르츠 시분해 분광, 적외선 푸리에 분광, 타원분광 등 다양한 분광 기법으로 물질의 광학 물성을 연구한다. 전이금속 산화물, 고온 초전도체, 유기·무기 반도체, 메타물질의 광학적 성질을 다루며 2차원 자성과 양자 스핀 액체 등 양자 다체 상태를 탐구한다.
