이효상 교수 연구실은 DGIST 뇌과학전공 소속으로, 통증·가려움 등 감각과 관련된 신경회로와 행동을 연구한다. 감각 뉴런 발화에 의한 통증·가려움의 인지·정서적 측면과 신경회로, 아교세포·신경염증을 다루며, 만성통증과 만성 가려움증 기전을 규명한다.
