김재영 교수 연구실(Observational Astrophysics Lab)은 UNIST 물리학과 소속으로, 극한 중력 환경의 우주 블랙홀과 그 주변에서 일어나는 현상을 관측을 통해 연구한다. 전파 간섭계(radio interferometry)를 비롯한 다파장 관측, 고에너지 중성미자와 다중신호(multi-messenger) 천체물리, 일반상대성이론·초기 우주·우주론을 주요 주제로 다룬다.
