장성연 교수 연구실(Carbon Neutral Energy Research Group)은 UNIST 에너지화학공학과 소속으로, 차세대 에너지 변환 소자를 연구한다. 유기·콜로이드 양자점·페로브스카이트 태양전지와 유기 전자소자, 열전소자를 다루며, 양자점 태양전지에서 효율 18.1%로 미국 재생에너지연구소(NREL) 공인 양자점 태양전지 세계 최고 효율을 기록한 바 있다.
