18~19세기 영국문학과 비평이론을 전공하며, 과학기술과 서사·SF(사변소설)를 디지털인문학의 관점에서 연구한다. 빅토리아 시대 문학과 유토피아 소설 연구, 그리고 디지털인문학 방법론이 문학 연구에 여는 가능성을 다룬 논문을 발표했다. SF, 인공지능과 비평이론, 문학·인문 텍스트 분석 등의 과목을 가르친다.
