나노바이오시스템스(NanoBioSystems) 연구실로 미세유체 기반 입자·하이드로겔 제조와 바이오 분석 기술을 연구한다. 알지네이트 하이드로겔 입자 제조 기술이 Langmuir 표지논문에 선정되었고, 단백질 3차원 구조 동역학 규명 연구가 스위스 ETH·영국 Francis Crick 연구소와의 공동연구로 Nature Communications에 게재되었다.
