생유기·에너지 소재 실험실로, 친환경 그린수소 생산과 차세대 에너지 저장 장치를 위한 고효율 전극촉매를 개발한다. 질소 도핑 그래핀으로 캡슐화한 FeCoMoS 기반 나노입자 등을 수전해 장치와 아연-공기 전지에 적용하는 연구를 수행하며, 수소경제 활성화 공로로 산업부장관 표창을 받았다.
