김신영 교수 연구실은 강원대 수학과 소속으로, 복소기하학과 대수기하학을 연구한다. 최소 유리접선 다양체(VMRT), 대칭 다양체·호로구면 다양체, 변형이론 등을 리 군·리 대수를 활용해 다룬다. 2025년 가을 강원대에 부임한 조교수다.
