남원홍 교수 연구실(정형검증연구실)은 건국대 컴퓨터공학과 소속으로, 수학·논리 이론을 이용해 시스템의 모든 상태를 검증하는 정형 기법(formal methods)을 연구한다. 모델 체킹, 자동 계획 등을 항공우주·자동차·의료 등 안전필수 시스템에 적용한다.
