김주식 교수 연구실(자원재생연구실, Resource Recycling Lab)은 서울시립대 건설환경공학과(환경공학부) 소속으로, 폐기물과 바이오매스를 열화학적으로 전환하여 자원과 에너지를 회수하는 연구를 한다. 폐플라스틱·폐타이어·바이오매스의 열분해 및 가스화, 수소·합성가스 생산 등을 다룬다. 김 교수는 독일 함부르크대에서 화학 박사 학위를 받았다.
