이정미 교수가 이끄는 Visual Cognition Lab(VCL)은 KAIST 문화기술대학원·메타버스대학원 소속으로, 전통 매체와 VR·AR·게임 등 신규 매체 환경에서의 인간 인지 과정을 연구한다. 경험·지식·맥락·정서 등의 요인이 다감각 콘텐츠의 지각·인지에 미치는 영향을 인지 행동 실험, 시선 추적(eye-tracking), 뇌전도(EEG/ERP) 등 인지신경과학 방법으로 탐구한다.
