전산학부 소속으로 KAIST Visual AI Group을 이끌며 3D 머신러닝과 컴퓨터 그래픽스·컴퓨터 비전을 연구한다. 3D 형상의 생성 모델, 기하학적 딥러닝, 3D 콘텐츠의 생성과 편집 등을 다룬다. 메타버스 공간을 채울 3D 콘텐츠를 자동으로 만들고 다루는 기술에 기여한다.
