KAIST 문화기술대학원 이원재 교수의 Social Computing Lab은 사회 연결망 분석(Social Network Analysis), 사회 교환 이론, 경제사회학, 계산사회과학(Computational Social Science)을 연구한다. 언어모델·대규모 데이터를 활용한 온라인 커뮤니티, 정치 참여, 메타버스 정체성, 문화예술 다양성 등 사회 현상의 계산적 분석을 수행한다.
