응집물질이론 연구자로, 전자 상관과 위상학적 구조의 상호작용에서 비롯되는 위상학적 페르미 액체 이론을 연구한다. 양자 상전이에서 무질서(disorder)의 역할과, 란다우 페르미 액체 패러다임을 넘어서는 양자 임계성 및 새로운 금속 상태를 이론적으로 탐구한다.
