서울대 컴퓨터공학부 부교수로 암호학 및 프라이버시 연구실(Cryptography and Privacy Lab)을 이끈다. 완전동형암호(FHE), 다자간 비밀계산(MPC), 영지식증명을 이론과 응용 양면에서 연구한다. 프라이버시 보존 기계학습 등 안전한 연산을 위한 암호 기술 개발에 중점을 둔다.
